New vintage finds: daisies on your head, feathers in your hand
January 28, 2010 – 4:30 pmToday’s new vintage items are easily two of my favorites: a coy, ivory wedding veil in halo-hat style with a daisy chain, curl of ribbon, and fine, stiff netting (very 1960s all around) and an enchanted evening beaded handbag in soft gray with white feathers. The lining is so soft with two tiny pockets. Why must they leave me?
Over the coming weeks, we have so much more to share. I’ve been collecting a wonderful little handful of vintage something-blue items (gleaming rhinestone-studded earrings, a beaded envelope clutch, the most AMAZING Marie Antionette-style bridal feathers hat with pale velvet bows) and a couple goodies straight from France, including champagne flutes in a French tole holder (you won’t believe your eyes!) and a white beaded handbag with just a touch of gold. Anything else you desire? Do tell; we’re always listening…
