*Vintage* French Tole Champagne Toasting Glasses Centerpiece Set from France
"Won't you raise a glass with me? The very best is yet to be." May this magnificent piece bless your home for many happy years. Imported from Brittany, France, a sturdy stand of curled iron holds two long-stem champagne glasses in pink & green. A pair of glass calla lilies with wire stamens sprout from bright green leaves. The rare vintage metal-work is hand-painted in French tole (or "toleware") style. Highly unusual, even collectors may never have seen one like this. An heirloom for generations of fine bubbly.
* Material: Painted iron stand, tin leaves, glass lilies & champagne flutes (possibly hand-blown)
* Age: Unknown; early 20th century
* Condition: Very good for its ripe age! Charming chippy paint with bits of rust peeking out on the leaves in places; glasses are pristine; a beautiful example of this art form
* Measurements: Stand is 13 1/2" high, 8 1/2" wide; glasses are 17 1/2" long
A breathtaking vintage centerpiece (and conversation starter) for the sweethearts' table. A stunning gift for romantic newlyweds.
